In Math today we continued to work on our problem solving as part of our SLO #2 by doing lesson 3 in the orange duotangs. That is due to be completed for class tomorrow am so that you can correct it. Remember to follow the 5 step process or the IDEAL way and here it is in case you forgot.
Identify key numbers/information and what the Q is asking
Develop a plan - what will you do with the info to solve the problem
Execute the plan - solve it!
Answer in a complete sentence
Look back to see if your answer makes sense

In Science today we did more work with our SLO #6 - leaf parts & identification - and did a fun group activity as a formative task. I think I will change the quiz to Monday but keep going over your notes and you also need to do the leaf scavenger hunt  (large sheet) for Friday as well. I've decided to collect them as an assessment so make sure they are done. 6A you have yours already and 6B you will get yours tomorrow but you can start collecting leaves now.

I expect you on your BEST behavior tomorrow during our academic awards assembly and remember as a result there will be no PE and then you will be with me 6A (Mrs. B 6B) and it will be a catch up period so please have all of your unfinished tasks at school ready to go or a good book if you are all caught up.
