The rule for three is when you add all the numbers and find its sum And if you can multiply the sum with 3 then it is a multiple of three. And 21,2009 is not a multiple of three. The rule for 3 is a number is a multiple of or is divisible by 3 if the sum of its digits is divisible by 3. Ex 9 is a multiple of three.
