Dear Parents & students of 6A & 6B,

First off, we would like to take a moment to tell you that it has been an absolute pleasure working with your children (and you) in 2008 and we look forward to seeing them in 2009! We wish you and your entire family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too!

In terms of interims reports, most of the kids are doing really well within our current units of study. If for some reason your child is not doing well, we will be in contact with you as soon as possible with the details.

Lastly, we would really appreciate your support over the holidays and into the new year by asking to see your child’s binders and by helping them to get organised for a fresh new start! This would also include replenishing school supplies, checking and discussing the agenda, and visiting the blog on a regular, daily basis. As far as holiday homework goes, coming back ready to go is the biggest thing we ask. Please make sure they have completed any of the following overdue assignments: (Ancient Athens guide book for Social Studies, all Number the Stars novel study assignments for LA, Math lessons 1-8 in our Number Operations unit, and to be sure they have completed the activities in Sky Detective envelopes as part of our Sky Science unit to be handed in upon their return).

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact either or both of us. Also, if your child has “forgotten” anything they need at the school, we would be happy to meet you there to let you in to get what is needed…all you need to do is let us know and we can arrange a suitable time.

Sincerely,
