"READING IS TO THE MIND, WHAT EXERCISE IS TO THE BODY."

HOMEWORK:
  • Math: see blog question below
  • Science: Finish sheet called A KEY TO TREES, and start your dichotomous identification key DUE FRIDAY. Here's the assignment...

Science - SUMMATIVE TASK – Identifying characteristics of trees SLO# 5 & 6

At home, you will make a dichotomous identification key to sort and identify 6 to 10 items of your choice. Remember…your key must work in groups of TWO, and be easy to follow (user friendly). Also, be sure to choose items that are easy for you to describe and be specific and creative. Don’t use characteristics that involve opinion either. You may use the computer, or make it by hand but whichever method you choose, make sure it is neat, organised, and includes visuals as well.

This is due FRIDAY, November 7th.

  • Other: Tell your parents that they will find the link to see a copy of this Month's newsletter on our school webpage.

REMINDERS/NOTE TO PARENTS:

  • Remembrance Day ceremony Friday ...SILENCE AND RESPECT
  • No school Monday and Tuesday... organise your binders and stock-up on school supplies, esp. pencils!
  • Have you bought a yearbook yet? $34.00...don't miss out!

BLOG QUESTIONS:

1. What are all of the factors of 36? Then, tell me how you can tell if your list is complete? (how do you know you found them all?)

2. What does a factor and a grade six student have in common?

1.The factors of 36 are:1,2,3,4,6,9,12,18,36
I know that I've found all the factors because all the numbers have pairs.
2.Factors always have pairs to do everything with. Grade six students usually always have a buddie with them to do almost everything with.
Well see you tomorrow Mrs V.
