tent catipiler eats leaves stealing nutruients which weakens the tree

the answer is a tent caterpiller that lives on trees eating every leaf on the tree. That has a negative affect on the tree because it leaves the the tree bare, then they grow into cocoons. Next season they come back and do the same thing, again and again until the tree dies. from, kieran.

a Negative affect is A tent catiplar thingy because it like wraps up in your leave and messes it up . To get rid of them u have to u a kind of spray or u fold open the leaves throw the Catipalrs on the ground and squish them.
I would have done the fungas thing but i forgot the name for it.

Hi, an organism that weakens a tree would be a deer because they eat the leaves which takes nutrients away and can sometimes weaken the tree and could lead to death. Kyler see you tommorow!

the deer eat the leaves on the tree so the tree cant get sun on the leaves to make photosynthesis

Hi Mrs.V! A Pine beetle has a negative effect on a tree. They burrow inside the tree and lay eggs in them. The female beetles will initiate attacks and produce pheromones which attract other beetles and results in mass attack. The trees trie to kill the beetles by increasing their resin output, however the beetles carry a blue staining fungi blocks the resin.(Resin, not to be confused with rosin is a chemical in many trees, especialy coniferous trees.) In about 2 weeks, the tree is cut off from water and nutrients. In the end the trees starve to death and the damage can be seen, even from the air,in the form of reddened needles.Usually older trees die faster. After particularly long and hot summers mountain pine beetle population can increase dramatically which can lead to the deforestation of large areas.I hope I taught you something you did not know.

Justin

Whoa alot of comments on here but btw heres my thingy because I hadnt showed you in class Mrs.V.

Yellowbellied sapsuckers because they peck holes in parts of the tree causing that spot to die and if spreads then can weaken the whole entire tree then the tree goes BOOM.
